Iowa State University was looking to add some vertically folding doors to open up a side entrance to the courtyard. Standard garage-type doors would not have been ideal as they have a lot of protruding hardware, tracks, and motors. Another alternative could have been rolling steel doors, which also were not ideal as this was a high traffic area. They were looking to add a large entrance which also was ascetically pleasing, and the look of steel doors was not the optimal design choice.
Our Arc 3D Quad Doors were the perfect solution.
Offering a wide opening with loads of safety features, these doors provided an attractive way to open up the entrance or securely close it off with a push of a button.
This provided a logical solution to an architectural problem that adds seamless integration into the existing design.
Wayne State University Doors
Beautiful University Doors in Detroit!
Wayne State University had a similar open space problem to solve as our previous example.
They were looking for a way to add style and beauty to a high-traffic entrance.
They chose to use our Arc 3D Duo Doors to solve this particular college door opening. This is a bifold vertically operable door. With the push of a button, the doors fold in two equal sections without any hardware, tracks, or otherwise ugly parts showing inside or outside of the building.

This particular picture is of a college space that needed a way to open up the outside wall in a very large scale way. The existing structure was a glass wall. The college door needed to match the structure when closed and open up to provide a massive unobstructed opening when open.
A large scale Arc 3D Solo panel door for this college was the answer. With the ability to safely open up and securely close when needed, while maintaining the original open glass wall feel, this was a clear winner for this school.

This example is of a space where students need a space to be closed off for viewing a large screen TV while taking lessons.
Our Arc 3D Duo Bifold Doors were a perfect fit for this open space challenge. Not only did the school need the space to be closed off when needed, but dampening the sound within the room was also a major consideration.
While one lesson was being performed within the closed-off space, the rest of the adjacent area needed to be undistracted by the lessons behind the closed door.
